Library Policies
Who May Use The Library
The library will serve all residents of the community and the public library system area. Services will not be denied or abridged because of religious, racial, social, economic or political status: or because of mental, emotional or physical condition, age or sexual orientation.
The use of the library may be denied for due cause. Such cause may be failure to return library materials or to pay penalties, destruction of library property, disturbance of other patrons or any other illegal, disruptive or objectionable conduct on library premises.
Collection Policy
The responsibility of the library is to provide information that meets the needs of all community members regardless of origin, age, background or views. To ensure that the library develops a well-rounded and balanced collection that meets this need, the Library Board has developed a Collection Policy that addresses: (1) Intellectual Freedom, (2) Selection Criteria, (3) Request for Reconsideration, (4) Weeding and (5) Gifts and Donations.
To see these in a wider scope you can come into the library or email the library and we can send you a copy.
