Library Card

     The Somers Public Library  is supported through Calhoun County and the City of Somers tax payers.

     Therefore, in order to obtain a library card, new patrons must prove that they are residents of either Somers and/or rural Calhoun County. Acceptable proof includes a driver's license, student ID or any official ID or piece of mail that lists the patron's address

     Out-of-town or county patrons whose home library participates in the Iowa Open Access Program are also eligible for a Somers Public Library card (with proper ID).

     Patrons must be at least 5 years old to obtain a library card, and a parent's and/or guardian's signature is required for children under the age of 14.
